Low SNR Enhancement
Enhances the ability of the demodulator to lock on to signals with low SNR. This
process reduces the frequency lock range and provides additional filtering. This
filtering enables the demodulator to lock in the presence of more. To compensate
for the smaller frequency lock range, the frequency estimate is tracked from
measurement to measurement. An exponential average is used and the output of
this average becomes the starting point for the next frequency estimate for the next
measurement.
