8.13.4.2. Seal Preparation
Place the “piston” o-rings as shown below and add a small amount of vacuum grease to
the rings. Grease quantity should be limited to avoid helium retention and difficult
assembly.
8.13.4.3. Reassembly
For Bacosol valve:
1. Tighten the four screws diagonally.
2. Clamping torque is 1.5 Nm.
For Minisol valve:
3. Tighten the two screws diagonally.
4. Clamping torque is 0.6 Nm.
8.13.4.4. Testing
After new valve installation, LACO recommends running a Background Cleanup or
running at least 20 test cycles. Test external tightness with a tracer gas to check the
vacuum quality.
