Maintenance
7. Remove the four bolts securing the auger motor to
its mount. (Figure 5-46)

8. Hold the sprocket at the chain as you carefully slide
out the motor.
9. Remove the sprocket from the chain.
10. Slide off the sprocket and remove the auger motor
mount.
11. Place the new auger motor onto the mount.
12. Reinsert the sprocket back onto the chain.
13. Reinsert the new motor.
14. Cover bolts with thread-locking adhesive, reinsert
and tighten.
15. Adjust the chain with 1/4 inch of slack. (See Chain
Tension Adjustment on Page 5-49)
16. Lubricate with chain lube oil.
17. Reconnect the hydraulic hoses and check for leaks.
Auger MotorsAuger Motors
1. Extend screed extension completely.
2. Clean asphalt buildup around cover.
3. Disconnect, cap and label the hydraulic hoses.
4. Remove the two nuts on the cover and pry the cover
apart. (Figure 5-45)
5. Loosen the auger tension adjusters.
6. Loosen the four motor bolts securing the auger
motor mounting brackets.
