DPF RegenerationDPF Regeneration
It cannot be emphasized enough that the paver should
be maintained in good operating condition so the
system can automatically perform the regeneration
(regen) process, which is only possible at the DPF soot
level 1 or 2. (Pages 4-15 to 4-16)
Monitor your surrounding areas during
the regen process. If unsafe conditions develop,
shut the unit off immediately.
NOTE: Automatic regeneration will not occur if active
engine faults are present, nor will you be able
to perform the needed parked regeneration
process and soot levels will continue to rise.
NOTE: If performing parked regeneration (Pages
4-16 to 4-17), the engine speed will increase
and there may be a noticeable sound
difference. The HEST Lamp will appear in the
alerts window until regeneration is complete.
NOTE: If action is not taken for the automatic
regeneration to occur, the soot level
(indicated by the DPF level shown on the main
screen) will continue to rise. If the DPF level
reaches Level 3, the operator must perform
the parked regeneration process described
on Pages 4-16 to 4-17.
EXHAUST TEMPERATURES WILL BE
EXTREMELY HIGH. BE SURE EXHAUST WILL NOT
COME IN CONTACT WITH ANY COMBUSTIBLE
