Operation
Perform Parked RegenerationPerform Parked Regeneration
The DPF must be at Level 2 or higher to perform
parked regeneration. Warning/alert icons will appear
in the top banner on the screen. (Table 4-3, Page
4-10) Fault codes may also appear on the screen. (A
complete listing of Fault Codes is shown in Trouble-
shooting, Section 5.)
Any engine fault must be resolved to
perform parked regeneration.
Continue to monitor surrounding
areas during the regen process. If unsafe conditions
develop, shut the unit off immediately.
If the DPF is at Level 2 or 3, and no engine faults are
present, perform parked regeneration using the fol-
lowing procedure:
1. Park the paver in an open area away from people,
equipment, trees/shrubbery, debris, and com-
bustible materials as exhaust temperatures will
increase considerably during regeneration.
2. Place the paver in NEUTRAL and engage the park
brake. (Page 4-4)
Ensure the coolant temperature is the operating
range of 155° to 160 F° (68.3° to 71.1° C).
3. Set the engine to low idle. The rst blue DPF
message will appear. (Figure 4-33)

Regen Level 4: Urgent: Engine output limited. DPF
Regeneration is required IMMEDIATELY by a qualied
engine or OEM service technician. IMMEDIATELY take
the machine to a safe location, shut down, and contact a
qualied service facility. (Figure 4-31)
If the DPF reached Level 4, the engine
is inoperable and requires authorized dealer tech-
nician intervention. It is important to resolve any
engine faults immediately and perform the needed
regeneration to prevent costly DPF technician
service if DPF level warnings or engine faults are
ignored.

Regen Level 5: Urgent: Engine output limited. DPF
Regeneration is impossible. The DPF must be removed
and cleaned by a qualied cleaning facility and the ECU
must be reset by a qualied engine or OEM service
technician. IMMEDIATELY take the machine to a safe
location, shut down, and contact your authorized dealer.
