Regen Level 3: The Level 3 screen displays the
warning: Urgent: Engine output limited. The DPF is
EXTREMELY loaded with soot and needs to be regen-
erated. Automatic regeneration is not possible at this
level. (Figures 4-29 and 4-30)
Continued operation without
completing a parked regeneration can cause
unwarranted engine damage. The operator should
perform the parked regeneration described on the
following pages immediately!

DPF LevelsDPF Levels
There are ve DPF levels. DPF warning messages will
appear according to the soot level present.
NOTE: If the operator has not inhibited regeneration
and there are no engine faults, but automatic
regeneration is not occurring, increase
engine RPMs and/or load to allow the DPF to
automatically regenerate. This only applies at
DPF Level 1 and 2.
It is important to perform a parked
regeneration BEFORE the DPF level reaches Level
4. If the regeneration process is not performed and
the soot level reaches Level 4, non-warranty factory
assistance from the engine manufacturer is required.
Regen Level 1: The DPF is loaded with soot and needs
to be regenerated. (Figure 4-26) This message alerts
the operator of the system’s need for regeneration.

Regen Level 2: The rst Level 2 screen is the warning.
The DPF is loaded with soot and needs to be regener-
ated. (Figure 4-27)
