Replace Radiator Hoses Replace Radiator Hoses
Radiator hoses should be replaced if worn or frayed.
Access the radiator by raising the hood.
NOTE: Inspect the radiator and oil coolers daily.
If needed, wash out using a low-pressure
water hose once the engine has cooled
down.
Dirty or plugged radiators and oil
coolers will cause engine or hydraulic overheat
conditions.
This procedure should only be
performed when the machine is not running.
DO NOT remove the radiator cap while
the engine is still hot. The radiator is under pressure
serious injury can occur if removed while hot.
1. Turn off ignition, remove key, and allow the engine to
cool down.
2. Raise the engine hood. (Page 5-6)
3. Carefully remove the radiator coolant ll cap.

4. Locate the radiator drain hose (with petcock) inside
the left engine panel. Drain radiator uid into a con-
tainer large enough to hold 5.5 gallons.
5. Remove the upper and lower hoses by loosening
the hose clamps on each.
6. Disconnect hoses and inspect for damage.
• If clamps are not damaged, retain for
reinstallment (or replace if damaged).
7. Install new hoses and reconnect with hose clamps.
FUEL SYSTEM
Fuel TankFuel Tank
The fuel level is indicated on the digital display fuel
gauge. Use only low-sulfer diesel fuel and always
ll the fuel tank at the end of the work day to prevent
condensation. The fuel cap and tank is located inside
the left access panel. (Figure 5-16)
Fill up with low-sulfer diesel fuel at the
end of the day to reduce condensation in the tank.
Diesel fuel is highly FLAMMABLE.
DO NOT smoke while lling the fuel tank. Fill the
fuel tank in a designated area that provides proper
ventilation with a re extinguisher available.
Explosion Hazard! Never ll the fuel
tank near an open ame, or near equipment that can
create sparks. Never check fuel level or fuel system
components near an open ame.

To ll the fuel tank:
1. Stop engine.
2. Remove fuel cap from fuel tank.
3. Fill with diesel fuel until full.
4. Replace fuel cap.
