Keep conveyor ight chain properly
oiled with cleaning solvent or release agent during
cold weather to keep conveyors functioning
smoothly.
Conveyor Drive Chain
Keep chains clean, lubricated. and properly adjusted.
Inspect both drive chains at the rear track. If the chains
are loose, adjustment is necessary.
NEVER perform any adjustments on
the paver while the engine is running.
1. Shut off paver.
2. Loosen the jam nuts on the chain adjuster. (Figure
5-4)
3. Turn the chain adjuster to loosen or tighten the
chain, leaving approximately 1/4-inch of slack. DO
NOT overtighten.
4. Retighten jam nuts.
5. Repeat steps on the opposite conveyor drive chain.

Conveyor Paddle Adjustment
The conveyor paddle must be adjusted on both sides of
the paver using the following procedure:
1. Loosen conveyor paddle bolt. (Paddle will rest
against conveyor paddle stop.) (Figure 5-5)
2. Turn limit switch shaft counterclockwise until
conveyor stops.
3. Turn limit switch shaft clockwise until conveyors
begin operating again, then turn switch 1/16-inch
(1.59 mm).
4. Tighten conveyor paddle bolt.
5. When adjusted correctly, the paddle should be
approximately six (6) inches (15.24 cm) from the top
of the tubing where the limit switch is mounted to
the lowest edge of conveyor paddle. This shuts the
conveyor off.
6. Repeat on the opposite side.
