Install a GPU distribution board
Follow instructions in this section to install a GPU distribution board.
About this task
Attention:
• Read “Installation Guidelines” on page 121 and “Safety inspection checklist” on page 122 to ensure that
you work safely.
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
• Based on your configuration, the following GPU distribution boards are supported in the 4-DW GPU
Model and the 8-DW GPU Model:
– The 4-DW GPU Model supports one of the followings:
– 1 x Four PCIe x16 slot PCIe distribution board
– 1 x Four PCIe x16 slot switched PCIe distribution board
– The 8-DW GPU Model supports one of the followings:
– 2 x Four PCIe x16 slot PCIe distribution board
– 2 x Four PCIe x16 slot switched PCIe distribution board
