Parameter description Parameter values
The currently applied IP
setup mode.
static: using a static IP address, gateway and subnet mask entered
by the user.
autoip: generating and IP address from the AutoIP range
dhcponeshot: trying to get the IP address, gateway and subnet
mask from a DHCP server. If no answer arrives, fallback to autoIP.
dhcpwautoip: (factory default setting) similar to dhcponeshot,
but keep on with DHCP discovery queries even after AutoIP
fallback. If there is a DHCP response, the IP parameters are set
accordingly.
dhcpwoautoip: try to get the IP address, gateway and subnet mask
from a DHCP server without ever falling back to AutoIP mode.
