IMPORTANT NOTES
A safety-bevel can only be made when:
- the distance between the apex of the bevel and the front/rear face of the lens is greater than
1.6 mm.
- the distance between the front edge of the groove and the front face of the lens is greater than 0.4
mm, and the distance between the rear edge of the groove and the rear face of the lens is greater
than 0.4 mm. (depth of safety-bevel = 0.2 mm).
If you make a retouch whose value is greater than 0.20 mm, the lens will be retouched but the safety-be-
vel(s) will be machined or even removed.
