Figure 5.32: Ground Speed Lever (GSL)
5. Park the windrower on level ground.
6. Press HEADER RAISE button (A) on the ground speed lever
(GSL). When the header reaches its maximum height,
continue to hold the header raise button to rephase the lift
cylinders.
Figure 5.33: Lift Linkage
7. Lower the header to approximately 150 mm (6 in.) off the
ground.
8. Ensure that channel (A) is against link (B).
9. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.
10. Measure the distance to the ground at both ends of the
header to determine if the header is level.
11. If adjustment is necessary, start the engine and resume
float. Lower the header onto the ground until channel (A)
lifts away from the link (B) on both sides.
12. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.
Figure 5.34: Lift Linkage Shims
13. On the side that is higher, remove hardware (A) attaching
shims (B) to the linkage.
14. Remove one or both shims (B) and reinstall hardware (A).
15. Repeat Step 6, page 111 to Step 10, page 111 to rephase
the cylinders and check the header level.
16. If additional adjustment is required, repeat Step 11, page
111 to Step 14, page 111, and install one of the removed
shims on the opposite linkage.
17. Reset the header float. For instructions, refer to 5.5.2 Setting Float – M1 Series Windrowers, page 100.
