9. If adjustment is necessary, start the engine and resume the
float. For instructions, refer to 5.6.3 Removing and
Restoring Float – M2 Series Windrowers, page 104.
10. Lower the header onto the ground until member (A) lifts
away from link (B) on both sides of the machine.
11. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.

12. On the side of the machine that is higher, remove nut,
washer, and bolt (A) that attaches shims (B) to the linkage.
13. Remove one or both of shims (B) and reinstall
hardware (A).
14. Repeat Step 4, page 112 to Step 8, page 112 to rephase the
cylinders and check the header level.
15. If additional adjustment is required, repeat Step 9, page
113 to Step 12, page 113, and install one of the removed
shims on the opposite linkage.
16. Reset the header float. For instructions, refer to 5.6.2 Setting Float – M2 Series Windrowers, page 103.

Additional shims are available from your Dealer.
