Crankshaft Installation

The crankshaft is heavy. Do NOT attempt to
install the crankshaft without the help of an
assistant or the use of a suitable lifting
device. Failure to heed this warning may
result in severe personal injury and
component damage.

1. Be sure that the crankshaft and the
crankcase area of the cylinder block are
clean.
2. Thoroughly clean each main journal bore
and the back of each bearing before
installation. The bearings must be installed
dry.
