Oil Filler Pipe and Dipstick Pipe
Installation
1. Assemble the oil filler pipe on the filler
retainer on the oil pan.
2. Using a torque wrench, tighten the screws
according to specification.
3. Assemble the dipstick pipe on the dipstick
retainer on the oil pan.
4. Using a torque wrench, tighten the screw
according to specification.
Power Take-Off Installation
If equipped with a power take-off (PTO), install
the assembly using this procedure.

1. Lubricate and assemble a seal in the groove
in the PTO assembly housing.
2. Assemble the PTO assembly on the flywheel
housing.

3. Using a torque wrench, tighten the screws
according to specification.
Timing Gear Cover Installation

1. Apply 2 mm (5/64-inch) beads of MACK
approved sealant on the mounting plate side
of the cover.
2. Install the elastomer seals.
3. Assemble the cover on the flywheel housing
and mounting plate.
4. Install the timing gear cover alignment tools,
85109051-A and 85109051-B, to the
cylinder head and timing gear cover as
illustrated.
