1. Using the lifting tool, 85109050, and an
assistant, place the shaft with rocker arms
and springs in position on the inboard side of
the camshaft bearing caps.
2. Insert the long screws (Nos. 8–14 in
Figure 293) through the shaft, camshaft
bearing caps and into the cylinder head.

3. Using a torque wrench, tighten the screws to
specification following the seven step
process (see Engine Component Torque
Specifications [Critical Fasteners]).
