Inspection
Check Wire Rope
1. Position the boom horizontally and while
retracting the boom, check to see that the
boom pull-out wire rope is slackened at its
midway. If it is slacked down, see “Boom
Telescope Wire Rope Adjustment” on page
5-47 and make the adjustment.

2. With the boom positioned horizontally and all
the booms retracted, check to see if a
clearance of 6 mm or greater remains
between the booms no. 3 and no. 4 (a) and
between no. 4 and no. 5 (b). If the clearance
of 6 mm or greater remains, make the
adjustment using “Boom Telescope Wire
Rope Adjustment” on page 5-47.
