Taking oil samples The hose end (1) is connected to the control block (3). The hose end (2) is in
the receptacle (4).
• Start the engine.
• Move the counterweight lifting cylinders to
the stop.
• Allow 2 litres (0.5 gal) of oil to flow into the
receptacle.
• Switch the engine off and insert the hose
end (2) into the sample container (5).
• Start the engine.
• Move the counterweight lifting cylinders to
the stop.
• Allow 0.3 litres (0.08 gal) of oil to flow into
the sample container.
• Switch the engine off.
• Put the hose end back into the receptacle.
• Seal the sample container.
Disconnecting
the hose
• Disconnect the hose (2) – the gauge port (1) closes.
• Close the gauge port with the cap.
• Allow the oil to flow out of the hose into the receptacle (3).
• Close the hose ends with the caps (4).
• Remove the receptacle and properly dispose of the oil.
