7.5 Exhaust system with exhaust emission control
Overview To adhere to the exhaust emission regulations, you are only permitted to
drive the crane with the multi-stage exhaust system consisting of a
DOC catalytic converter, DPF particle filter and SCR catalytic converter
(DOC = Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, DPF = Diesel Particulate Filter,
SCR = Selective Catalytic Reduction).
The exhaust gas is cleaned with an AdBlue system (DEF). AdBlue
(DEF) (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) from the AdBlue tank is injected into the mixing
tube in the exhaust system for this.
The motor output is automatically sharply reduced when there is not
enough AdBlue solution available. Driving with an empty AdBlue tank will
invalidate the truck crane's licence for use on public roads;
