Power supply and earth connections
Voltage:
100-230 V a.c., r.m.s (-15% / +10%), 50-6% (-6%/+5%)
It complies with the electrical safety standard for the power supply voltage interval
indicated, however the gauge has been designed to work also with input voltage up
to 85V a.c.
Power consumption:
15 W without retraction option and no I/O or Type B I/O
20 W without retraction option and Type A or Type C I/O
40 W with series retraction and all I/O types
30 W with parallel retraction and all I/O types (55 W max peak value when
retraction is activated)
Current consumption:
0.7A a.c. rms
Inrush current: 60A r.m.s.
Use the cable supplied to connect the unit to the power supply. Bear in mind that the section of wire used is
0.75 mmq. Make sure that the yellow/green wire of the power supply cable is connected correctly to the
plant's safety ground system.
[
N.B.
Install a “B” o “C” curve (see Standard EN60947) circuit breaker type protection device with a
current rating not exceeding 1 A, or equivalent fuse. The power supply should also be fitted
with a differential circuit breaker.
ATTENTION
In the event of momentary interruptions in the unit power supply (power failures) it is important
to be aware that:
The machine outputs (see section 6.3) may change state.
When using measurement heads equipped with a P3UP operated fing
er opening
(retraction) system, this may not function correctly (e.g. it may not be possible to open the
fingers if they are closed, or close them if they are open).
When using the auxiliary + 24Vnst power supply output (see section 6.3) the correct value
is
not guaranteed.
Take the necessary measures to avoid harming personnel or property.
[
N.B.
The power supply board is protected against fault conditions caused by internal components by
a non-replaceable fuse. If the board malfunctions or becomes damag
ed, contact Marposs
customer service.
Connect the unit to earth using the earth stud. Connect the stud to a central of mass of the machine where
the unit is installed. The connection must be kept as short as possible. Use yellow/green cable with a cross
section of at least 4 mm
