As the black extrusions and fittings have not proved to be sufficiently rugged they have been replaced with standard silver,
natural finish parts. The opportunity has also been taken to upgrade many of the fittings for more rugged versions to improve
the overall quality of the finished case.
Low Voltage Rack Case
The low voltage rack case has remained unchanged since its introduction and is a 15U floating rack flightcase into which the
mains distro is permanently built leaving a 4U space at the top for the Merlin and network products. It is constructed from black
laminated ply and has always used natural, silver extrusions and fittings. It has front and rear lids both secured with four butterfly
catches.
