MLA Slave Rack
Mk1 Slave Rack
The Slave Rack is essentially identical to the Master rack but without the wi-fi and network components. It is housed in an
identical 16U 19"rack flightcase which can house either one or two mains distros (high voltage version only). It has a Merlin
controller and the same patch panel as the Master rack but all but one Ethernet ports are blanked off leaving a single connection
which goes directly to the Merlin Ethernet port. The 1U space where the Ethernet switch would be on a Master rack is fitted with
a blank panel.
Mk2 Slave Rack
The New version of the Slave rack whilst housing identical components has a dedicated patch panel as the new Master panel is
such a departure. This eliminates the unused Ethernet connection leaving the single Merlin Ethernet port which is now labelled
accordingly on the silk screen;-
