INSTALLATION
! WARNING
Engine could possibly start when turning flywheel
during installation; therefore, disconnect (and isolate)
spark plug leads from spark plugs to prevent engine
from starting.
1. Disconnect spark plug leads from spark plugs.
2. Place flywheel key (a) into slot in crankshaft.

3. Align slot in flywheel center bore with flywheel key and
install flywheel onto crankshaft.
4. Install washer and locknut.
5. Hold flywheel with Flywheel Holder (a) (91-52344);
torque locknut to 100 lb. ft. (136 N·m).

6. Install flywheel cover.
BLACK and RED Stator
REMOVAL
1. Remove flywheel; refer to “Flywheel Removal”.
2. Remove screws (a).

3. Disconnect stator leads as shown and remove stator.
