Even when ink remains, [INK NEAR END] is displayed
If [INK NEAR END] is displayed even when ink remains in the ink cartridge, correct the ink remaining amount
value by operating the procedures below:

Select the “Ink Level Set MODE” of the maintenance menu.
(1) Press the key in the local mode.
(2) Select the [MAINTENANCE] by pressing or key, and press the key.
(3) Select the [Ink Level Set] by pressing or key.

Press the key.

Select to use the ink pack weight plate by pressing the
or key.
• When you put the ink pack weight plate inside the ink cartridge,
select “YES”.

Press the key.

Select the cartridge whose ink remaining amount value
you wish to correct by pressing the or key.

Press the key.

Pull out the cartridge selected in the Step 3 and measure it by weight.

After shaking the ink cartridge enough, return the cartridge to the original status.
• Shake the ink cartridge by referring to P.4-6 “How to shake an ink cartridge”.

Press the key.
• The cartridge weight currently saved in the ink IC is displayed.

Enter the cartridge weight by pressing the or
key.
• If [INK NEAR END] is displayed on the screen, even when ink remains, the relevant ink cartridge cannot
be used. The actual remaining amount of ink does not match the remaining amount of ink displayed,
such as [INK NEAR END] is displayed even when ink remains, correct the remaining amount of ink by
performing the procedures below:
