Wipe off any ink on the flushing unit or the shutter.
• Wipe off the ink using a clean stick soaked in washing liquid. Wipe it off properly so that there is no
residual washing liquid.

• If the surface of the flushing filter has become fluff, wipe it using a clean stick soaked in washing
liquid.
• If the dirt is severe or hardened, replace the flushing filter. "Flushing Filter" (P. 4-42)

Once the cleaning is complete, press the [ENTER] key.
• After the initial operation, the display returns to Step 1.
Washing the Ink Discharge Passage
Wash the ink discharge passage periodically to prevent ink from hardening and clogging inside it.

Press the [MAINT.] key in LOCAL.

• Carriage moves onto the platen.
