Connecting through switching hubs
Printing cannot be done unless the PCs and devices connected to the printer are 1000BASE-T. After
connecting, check the following:
1. Check the printer screen display.
– From the LOCAL screen or MEDIA DETECT screen, press the [ENTER] key several times to
display the information screen.
– Check whether the LAN status field displays [1000 Mbps].
2. Check for a green light on the LAN connector
– After starting up the machine, the LAN connector lamp lights up in the following colors.
Color Lamp status Status
Green Lit Connected via 1000BASE-T
Off Connected via a network other than
1000BASE-T
Yellow Lit Link-up
Blinking Receiving data
Off Link-down
• If only yellow light is lit or blinking, the network is not running at 1000 Mbps. Check the specifications of the
PC, the device and the cables.
