2 The Basics
2.1 Intended Use
The monitor is intended for monitoring physiologic parameters, including Pulse
Oximetry (SpO
2
), Pulse Rate (PR), Non Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP). Temperature
(TEMP) and Carbon Dioxide (CO
2
), on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in
professional healthcare facilities by clinical physicians or appropriate medical staff under
the direction of physicians.
The monitor also supports MEWS for clinical assessment which is only used on adult
patients.
WARNING
This equipment is intended for use only by clinical professionals or under
their guidance. It must only be used by persons who have received adequate
training in its use. Anyone unauthorized or untrained must not perform any
operation on it.
2.2 Applied Parts
The applied parts of the monitor include followings:
SpO
2
sensor and cable
NIBP tubing and cuff
Temp probes and cable
CO
2
sampling line
