11. Unmounting the top module
If you ever need to access the robot from the top, you will need to unmount MiR Hook 100.
This can be required when troubleshooting issues or replacing robot components.
WARNING
Removing covers from the robot exposes parts connected to the power supply,
risking damage to the robot from a short circuit and electrical shock to
personnel.
• Before removing covers, turn off the robot, and disconnect the battery—see
Disconnecting the battery on page56.
If you have a power drill, you can use it to unscrew the bolts from the top
module instead of unscrewing them manually.
The following steps describe how to unmount the top module:
1. Turn off the robot by pressing the On/Off button, and disconnect the battery by turning
the Battery disconnect switch.
2. Remove the hook cover placed on top of the hook frame. The cover is held in place by
magnets.
3. Disconnect cables and unmount the antenna.
4. Unmount the frame by removing the four bolts. Untighten the bolts.
5. Lift the hook off of the robot.
After you have finished completing the maintenance that has required you to remove MiR
Hook 100, you can mount again by following the above instructions in the reverse order.
You can also contact your distributor for the mounting guide for your product.
