4 AUXILIARY AND APPLIED FUNCTIONS
4.11 Mixed Operation Cycle Function
Restrictions when using each function
The restrictions for when the low speed operation cycle magnification setting is used with each function are shown below.
Function Restrictions
Synchronous encoder axis The synchronous encoder axis operates at the operation cycle.
When a servo amplifier axis with "[Pr.320] Synchronous encoder axis type" set to "101: Via servo amplifier"
has a low speed operation cycle of 1.777[ms] or less, the data refresh cycle of the synchronous encoder is the
low speed operation cycle. To refresh data every operation cycle, connect the synchronous encoder to a servo
amplifier axis controlling at the operation cycle.
Digital oscilloscope When the sampling interval is set to "operation cycle", sampling is performed at operation cycle.
Mark detection function The data update cycle for when Motion control data is set is the control operation cycle of the target axis.
The data update cycle for when word devices are set is fixed as the operation cycle.
Refresh of indirectly specified devices of mark detection setting data is executed at the operation cycle.
Set the setting No. of the high-speed input request signal whose control cycle setting matches the control cycle
of the axis specified by the mark detection data.
Limit switch output function The sampling cycle of watch data is the control operation cycle of the target axis.
The fetch cycle of forced OFF bit, forced ON bit, and limit output compensation time is executed at the
operation cycle.
High-speed input request signal Set the high-speed input request signal control cycle setting for axes controlling at the low speed operation
cycle to "low speed operation cycle".
Fetch of compensation time, and refresh of status devices is dependent on high-speed input request signal
control cycle settings.
Multiple CPU data refresh Data is refreshed at the timing of the operation cycle. (Data refresh is not performed at low speed operation
cycle, )
Multiple CPU advanced synchronous
control
Set the same operation cycle to all Motion CPUs performing Multiple CPU advanced synchronous control.
Data refresh between master CPUs and slave CPUs is executed every operation cycle. (Data refresh is not
performed at low speed operation cycle,) Therefore, servo amplifier axes and command generation axes used
as input axes to the slave CPU must be set to operate at the operation cycle.
Vibration suppression command filter When the control operation cycle of the target axis is 7.111[ms] or more, the vibration suppression command filter
becomes invalid.
Manual pulse generator operation Do not set axes with different control operation cycles to "[Cd.1098] Manual pulse generator 1 axis No. setting
registers (R: D35294 to D35297/Q: D714, D715)", "[Cd.1099] Manual pulse generator 2 axis No. setting registers
(R: D35298 to D35301/Q: D716, D717)", and "[Cd.1100] Manual pulse generator 3 axis No. setting registers (R:
D35302 to D35305/Q: D718, D719)". When axes with different control operation cycles are set, a warning (error
code: 098DH) occurs, and manual pulse generator operation does not start.
Servo access When low speed operation cycle magnification setting is set, a moderate error (error code: 30F9H) occurs if a
SSCNET line exists in the servo network settings. When SSCNET/H head module or sensing module (station
mode) is connected, the refresh cycle of status devices and monitor devices is fixed as the operation cycle.
Add-on function The low speed operation cycle cannot be set as an automatic execution for the add-on module.
Using the low speed operation cycle magnification setting with each add-on module depends on the
specifications of the add-on module.
Machine control When machine control is enabled, a moderate error (error code: 30F9H) occurs.
G-code control When G-code control is enabled, a moderate error (error code: 30F9H) occurs.
