3.7 Data Clear Processing
This section explains how to clear the CPU module data and the settings about the latch
data clearing.
(1) Data clearing method and data that cannot be cleared
The CPU module data are cleared when the CPU module is reset with the RESET/
L.CLR switch (the RUN/STOP/RESET switch when the Basic model QCPU is used)
or when the power is switched from ON to OFF and then to ON.
However, the data in (a) below cannot be cleared by the above operations.

(b) How to clear data that cannot be cleared by reset operation
The data indicated in (a) above can be cleared by the following methods.
1) Program memory data
Clear the data in either of the following methods.
Select "Clear program memory" in the boot file setting of the PLC
parameter dialog box.

Clear the program memory on the PLC data deletion screen of GX
Developer.
2) Standard ROM data
Automatically cleared when data are written to the standard ROM.
3) Memory card data

Clear the data in the memory card on the PLC data deletion screen of GX
Developer.
4) Latch-specified device data
Refer to (2) in this section.
5) File register data
Reset the data using the RST instruction or transfer K0 using the MOV/FMOV
instruction.
Or, select [Write to PLC] [Clear PLC memory] on GX Developer and
activate "Clear all file registers".
