4.4 Base Unit Assignment (Base Mode)
The CPU module has the Auto mode and Detail mode, in which the number of modules
mounted on the main base unit, slim type main base unit

Set the base mode in the I/O assignment setting of the PLC parameter dialog box.

(1) Auto mode
In Auto mode, the slot numbers are assigned to the main and extension base units
according to the number of slots than can be occupied.
The I/O numbers are assigned according to the modules which can be mounted to the
current base unit.
Because 8-slot setting is fixed to the AnS series main base unit or extension base
unit, a 3-slot or 5-slot base unit occupies 8 slots.
Since the Q series CPU module occupies only the mountable slots of the base unit,
only 3 slots are occupied when a 3-slot base unit is used.
