6.23 Interrupt from the Intelligent Function ModuleNote66
CPU module executes an interrupt program (I ) by the interrupt request from the
intelligent function module.
For example, the serial communication module processes the data reception by an
interrupt program when the following data communication functions are executed.
•Data reception during the communication with no handshaking protocol
•Data reception during the communication with bi-directional protocol
Processing data reception with an interrupt program improves the data reception speed of
CPU module.
(1) Setting an interrupt from the intelligent function module
To execute an interrupt program by the interrupt of the intelligent function module, it is
necessary to designate the "Intelligent function module setting (Interrupt pointer
setting)" at the "PLC system" tab screen in the "(PLC) Parameter" dialog box.
You should also designate "System setting" at the intelligent function module.
