4.7.2 Concept of I/O assignment using GX Developer

I/O NUMBER ASSIGNMENT
5) Last I/O number
In I/O assignment, set the last I/O number not to exceed the maximum
value( CHAPTER 2)of the I/O points.
An error ("SP. UNIT LAY ERR.") will occur if the last I/O number exceeds the
maximum value

of the I/O points. (System monitor of GX Developer shows
"***" as an I/O address.)
POINT
When the Q5 B/Q6 B/Q6 RB and QA1S6 B extension base units are used
together, the QA1S6 B must be connected after the Q5 B/Q6 B/Q6 RB.
(Restriction on system configuration)
In the above configuration, assign the I/O numbers of the modules mounted on
the Q5 B/Q6 B/Q6 RB and QA1S6 B extension base units in ascending
order.
An error ("SP. UNIT LAY ERR.") will occur if they are not assigned in ascending
order.
