4.8 Accumulator.
Figure 71
Accumulator: Parison page in accumulator position mode.
Access: From Main Menu with key F4.
Use: Set accumulator stroke and edit profile and parameters for injection speed control. A regulator in
accumulation mode requires that the accumulator management is setup on the fourth channel.
The setpoint generated for the thickness regulator depends on the accumulator position in
injection phase related to the total injection stroke.
With start signal (digital input number 1) begins the push out up to the position of end extrusion (even if the signal
start is not more active). The output command is related to the planned profile.
With end extrusion if start is OFF the output command goes to a clamp value that it can be adjustable on setup
page. The output stays in this condition even if the actual profile point goes back below the last point. The heads
position stays in close loop on the last point.
With end extrusion if start is ON the output command stays at the value of the last point. The output stays in this
condition even if the actual profile point goes back below the last point. The heads position follows backward its
profile in close loop if accumulator position goes back.
With die gap signal (start signal has to be OFF) the output command goes to filling value (only negative) and is
latched. This value is adjustable on setup page. The heads go on die gap position or stay on the last point. With
the next start the output goes to the push out value.
In Manual mode (digital input number 13 OFF) the push out is active only if start is ON. If start is OFF the output
command goes to filling value.
With Digital Accumulator (no output command) when the start1 signal goes ON a red bar graph visualized the
accumulator position during the external push out. With end extrusion the digital output number 2 goes ON. With
die gap signal (digital input number 9) or end extrusion signal (see setup 1 head x page chapter 4.6.4) a blue bar
graph visualized the filling and the digital output of end extrusion will go OFF if accumulator position is different
from end extrusion position. When the accumulator position reaches the end of filling, the digital output number 1
goes ON.
