Installation
Ask your service representative who is authorized by NEC to install the component. The service representative
will install the component, and transfer the server to you after making sure that the server can operate normally.

Setting Required after Installation
When you receive the server from maintenance personnel, confirm or modify the settings as shown below.
1. Run BIOS SETUP Utility and select Advanced
→
Memory Configuration
→
Memory Information in
order. Make sure the capacity of added DIMM is displayed properly.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1. System BIOS) in "Maintenance Guide".
2. Select Advanced
→
Memory Configuration
→
Memory Retest and change its parameter to Yes.
After that, select Save Changes and Exit to reboot.
3. Modify settings on operating system side as needed.
