Chapter 4. Operation
4.1 Live Monitoring
Your DVR has four video inputs and four video loop outputs, and two video output
connectors are provided: a BNC connector and an S-VHS connector. Press any
CAMERA 1-4
on the front panel to display live pictures from that camera on the monitor. And press
DISPLAY to switch between full screen mode and 2x2 screen mode. The user can freeze live
video by pressing FREEZE and release it by pressing FREEZE again. Press SEQUENCE to
switch the camera display at preset intervals. The sequencing of the cameras will continue
until
SEQUENCE is pressed again. Refer to the 3.4 Configuring for Live Monitoring for
the details of programming. When using the PTZ camera, press CAMERA 1-4
and then press
ENTER to enter the PTZ mode. The camera button LED will blink when the DVR is in the
PTZ mode.
NOTE: Check the PTZ settings are correct if the camera button LED does not blink in
the PTZ mode. Use buttons on the front panel to control the PTZ.
Left/Right-Arrow: Pan Left/Right
Up/Down-Arrow: Tilt Up/Down
MENU/SEARCH: Zoom In/Out
SEQUENCE/ALARM: Focus In/Out
CAMERA 1/2: Iris Open/Close
CAMERA 3/4: Preset Save/Load
4.2 Recording
The DVR provides Pre-Event, Time-Lapse recording and Event-driven recording. The DVR
provides both automatic and manual recording of video and audio to the hard disks according
to the schedule configured by the user and from external and internal events such as alarm-in.
The schedule is configured day-by-day and hour-by-hour for each camera.
