5.3.2 PC Worx: Activating the function via firmware service
Alternatively, you can set the Copy/Update function via the CPU_Set_Value_Request firm-
ware service in PC Worx:

5.3.3 Description of the setting: update function activated (USB
⇒ PLC) (default setting)
If a valid firmware update file and/or “CFROOT” folder is saved to the USB stick, the firm-
ware update is started and/or the “CFROOT” folder is copied to the active parameterization
memory (internally or inserted SD card) once the mode selector switch is actuated.
The update is performed once the controller is restarted. The application-specific data is
then downloaded.
5.3.4 Description of the setting: Copy/Update function activated
(USB ⇒ PLC)
If a valid firmware update file and/or “CFROOT” folder is saved to the USB stick, the firm-
ware update is started and/or the “CFROOT” folder is copied to the active parameterization
memory (internally or inserted SD card) once the mode selector switch is actuated.
The update is performed once the controller is restarted. The application-specific data is
then downloaded.
If neither a valid firmware update file nor “CFROOT” folder is saved to the USB stick, the
“CFROOT” folder of the active parameterization memory is copied to the USB stick.
5.4 Directory structure of the parameterization mem-
ory
Depending on the setting as to whether you want to use the plug-in parameterization mem-
ory as an additional or main memory, the directory structure is displayed.
C Successful execution of the service will be displayed in the status window.

– Copy/Update function deactivated.
