Spider Button Shimming, Cont.
2. Measure the dimension between towers at the lower
half of the towers as shown.
3. Install spider buttons using a soft face hammer.
4. Record width of spider buttons on each leg.
5. Add shims beneath trailing
side spider button to
obtain specified button-to-tower clearance when
assembled.
