9. Remove the upper gear cluster and shift forks. You may
need to move the assembly back and forth to aid in removal.
10. Set the upper gear cluster on a flat surface and inspect the
components.
11. Remove the shift forks from the assembly. Note the correct
position of each fork.
12. Remove the bearing from the reverse shaft using a puller.
13. Remove the park lock engagement dog. Remove the wave
spring and reverse engagement dog.
14. Remove the bearing from the input shaft with a puller.
