(NRC) ACTION
A transport jam occurred during duplex printing.
When the paper was fed to the duplex unit during
duplex printing, the paper stopped and the bottom
edge did not pass the trailing edge sensor.
Ask the operator to try the following procedures to
remove and prevent paper transport jams during
duplex printing. Also, check inside the duplex unit
or printer for paper. If you find paper inside the
duplex unit or printer, remove it, and then press
the [Paper Feed] key.
1. The paper was pulled in from the output tray
during reversing.
2. Damage.
1. Remove the sheets stacked on the output tray.
2. Repair (ST) or replace (NRC).
(1) Check inside the printer and duplex unit for 2
or more sheets of paper. If the printer is
double-feeding, remove the papers stacked on
the output tray. As a general rule (for all
environments) do not allow more than 100
sheets to stack on the output tray. Allowing
between 100 and 150 sheets to stack on the
output tray (70 g/m
2
with 5% coverage) can
cause poor print quality. To ensure best
quality, do not allow more than 50 sheets to
stack on the output tray.
