During paper feed from Tray 2,
after the registration sensor
switched on when the leading
edge of the paper was detected,
even after the paper fed the
prescribed distance, the trailing
edge of the paper did not pass
the trailing edge sensor. Make
sure that there is no paper
inside the printer.
(1)Continuous paper feed.
(2) The paper has jammed around the
print head because the paper has been
peeled away from the transport belt.
(3) Paper longe
r than that allowed by the
printer driver settings was fed.
(1) Pull the paper out of the output exit.
(2) Remove the duplex unit from the
printer, open the reverse guide.
- Remove the paper.
(3) After removing the jam, press the
[Paper Feed] button on the printer.

open the reverse guide.
- Remove the paper.
(3) After removing the jam, press the [Paper
Feed] button on the printer.

(1)Remove the paper from the bypass
tray.
(2) After removing the jam, press the
[Paper Feed] button on the printer.

During paper feed from Tray 1,
the trailing edge sensor
switched on, but the registration
sensor did not detect the paper,
even though it fed to the
prescribed position. Make sure
that there is no paper inside the
printer.
(1) The power of the feed roller is
insufficient.
(2) The paper is folded or caught in the
paper feed path.
(1) If Tray 2 has paper loaded, remove
the paper from the tray.
(2) If the duplex unit is not attached,
open the rear cover of the printer, open
the reverse guide and remove the
paper.
(3) If the duplex unit is attached, open
the rear cover of the duplex unit, open
the reverse guide, remove the jammed
paper, and then press the [Paper Feed]
button on the printer operation panel.
(1) If there is paper in Tray 1, remove it.
(2) If the duplex unit is not attached, open the
rear cover of the printer and remove the jammed
paper.
(3) If the duplex unit is attached, open the rear
cover of the duplex unit, open the reverse guide,
remove the jammed paper, and then press the
[Paper Feed] key on the printer operation panel.
