3. In the "General" tab, specify a name for the firewall rule.
4. Select Allow from the "Policy" drop-down list.
5. There are two ways to allow ICMP. Directly in the firewall rule, you can allow ICMP
in general:
a) In the "General" tab, choose ICMP under "Applications / Protocols" .
b) Click "Create" to create the firewall rule.

6. Alternatively, you can specifically allow ICMP type 3, code 4 using custom decod-
ers. This is safer than allowing ICMP in general.

On the "Custom Decoders" tab, click "
Add Decoder".
The "Custom Decoders" editor panel opens.
b) Under "Protocol" , select icmp.
c) From the "Option" drop-down list, select type.
d) Under "Type" , select number.
e) Under "Operator" , select == (equal) .
f) In the "Expression" field, enter 3.
g) Click "OK" .

Click "
Add Decoder" again to create a second decoder rule.
The "Custom Decoders" editor panel opens.
i) Under "Protocol" , select icmp.
j) From the "Option" drop-down list, select code.
k) Under "Type" , select number.
l) Under "Operator" , select == (equal).
m) In the "Expression" field, enter 4.
