Example 2: Maximum width without empty modules
•
Number of me
asurement modules: 10
•
Number of empty modules: 0
•
Maximum object width = (10 + 0) x 150 mm – 2 x 23 mm = 1,454 mm
The minimum object width over empty modules is calculated as follows.
•
Minimum object width = number of empty modules x 150 mm + 2 x distance A
Example: Minimum object width without empty modules
•
Number of empty modules: 3
•
Minimum object width = 3 x 150 mm + 2 x 23 mm = 496 mm
4.7 Edge measurement and edge designation
You can measure the positions of up to 10 edges. The edges are labeled with E1 to E10
in S
O
PAS. The edges are designated according to the following figure.
Figure 23: Edge measurement and edge designation
1
Edge designation from connection side 1 to 5
2
Edge designation from head side 10 to 6
3
Edges are not measured as 10 edges have already been measured
Observe the following points:
•
A maximum of 10 ed
ge positions are measured.
•
If more than 10 edges are available, they are not measured. Areas can be blanked
via the “Blanking” and “Material teach-in” menu using SOPAS.
•
Edge designation begins from the connection side with "1”. Edge designation
begins from the head side with "10”.
The example shows a configuration of the MLG-2 using empty modules and more than
10 edges. In line with the specification that only 10 edges can be measured, the first 5
edges are measured in read direction in the current configuration on the connection
side and on the head side. The remaining edges are not measured.
