7.7 Connecting Engineering PC with the Target Device
7.7.1 SICAM TOOLBOX II
Before parameters can be loaded via the SICAM TOOLBOX II into CP-8000/CP-802x, the fol-
lowing steps must be performed:
• Insert a suitable SD card into the target device (if not present)
• Store required TBII updates in the SICAM TOOLBOX II
• Switch on the target device
• Set up physical connection with the target device
The following connection options are available:
• Serial point-to-point connection
• Serial connection via telecommunication facilities
• LAN/WAN connection via Ethernet interface
• LAN/WAN connection via serial interface and Terminalserver
• Connection via further automation unit(s)
