22.2.2 Router station and Ethernet station

w You are familiar with the information in chapter 'Preparation and security
[➙ 113]'.
w A GAP with DHCP must be configured for the connection with the PC via C-
WEB/LAN.
1. Import the new firmware into Cerberus-Engineering-Tool.
– Select 'File' > 'Import new resource package' from the menu and open the
file you want.
2. Load the configuration from the 'Station' or your archive to the PC. Link [➙ 32]
3. NOTICE! Possible data loss. Load the configuration data and event memory to
Cerberus-Engineering-Tool before updating the firmware.
– Saving the configuration data also backs up specific system data which is
only available on the 'Station'. This includes modified customer texts, time
stamps of recent alarms, or persistent commands.
4. Convert the configuration if necessary and rectify conversion faults. Link

5. Via the Ethernet switch (MM) FN2008-A1, connect the PC to the C-WEB/LAN.
6. Update the firmware on the main CPU and the additional CPUs. Link [➙ 117]
7. Initialize the 'Station'. Link [➙ 28]
– Remove the network connection to the 'Station'and connect the PC locally
to the 'Station'. Link [➙ 27]
8. Test the firmware version on the additional CPUs. Link [➙ 129]
– Update the firmware, if required, of the additional CPUs again, if there is a
higher firmware version available. Link [➙ 126]
9. Disconnect the PC from the 'Station'. Link [➙ 27]
10. Restore the network connection.
