3 Mounting / Installation
3.1 Installing and checking the detector line

' in the chapter 'Glossary'.
Most C-NET devices are installed on a base and can be changed with ease.
The bases of ↑ non-stationary C-NET devices and ↑ stationary C-NET devices
must be installed and uninstalled when the C-NET detector line is switched off and
disconnected from the power supply.
Prerequisites
● The C-NET detector line is not connected to the control panel and is
disconnected from the power supply when the C-NET devices are being
installed, wired and inserted.
● The C-NET detector line is tested with the line tester FDUL221.
● The control panel is commissioned by the commissioning personnel.
3.1.1 Installing devices with serial number
Before inserting or connecting an
layout plan. The adhesive strip with the serial number can be found on the bottom
of the device.
1. Mount and wire the C-NET devices and stick the serial number for each device
on the layout plan.
2. Install the detector dust caps on the optical point detector if necessary.
3. Install the designation plate if necessary.
3.1.2 Installing devices according to the wiring sequence
1. Mount and wire the C-NET devices and document the wiring sequence in the
layout plan.
2. Install the detector dust caps on the optical point detector if necessary.
3. Install the designation plate if necessary.
