13.2 Manual line calibration
Calibrate a line manually on the 'PMI' in the following cases if automatic line
calibration is deactivated in the configuration of the line:
● The line topology has been changed.
● The configuration of the brightness level and/or the sound level of the sounders
has changed.
● The PMI displays a calibration error for a line.
Calibrate all lines of a periphery board or a line card manually on the 'PMI' in the
following cases, even if automatic line calibration has been activated in the
configuration of the line:
● A periphery board with an integrated line card has been changed.
● A line card has been changed.
Automatic without manual recalibration
' calibration mode is configured for a
line, then it must first be changed to the 'Automatic with manual recalibration' or
'Manual' calibration mode in the configuration. Otherwise, it will not be possible to
manually calibrate the line.
Calibrating lines manually
The duration of a line calibration consists of a 45
second base time plus about 1
second per installed 'Voice alarm sounder beacon/Voice al. sound. beacon base'
device on the line to be calibrated. This means a line with 252 'Voice alarm
sounder beacon/Voice al. sound. beacon base' devices can be calibrated in about
5 minutes.
The station does not block the
execution of a line calibration if some devices are
active on the line to be calibrated at this time. The station only blocks line
calibration if the station is in alarm condition.
w The fire control panel has started up.
w There are no alarms present on the fire control panel.
w The configuration of the line permits manual calibration. You will find more
information about this in document 'A6V10210424'.
w Required access level: 3
1. Open the following path in the main menu on the 'PMI':
'Topology' > 'Hardware tree' > 'Station xx' > 'C-NET line card xx'
a The display shows the menu for the line card in question.
2. In the 'C-NET line card xx' menu, highlight the line you want to calibrate.
3. Select the 'More options' function in the softkey bar.
a The display shows a list.
4. In the list, select the following: 'Execute commands' > 'Calibrate'
a The system calibrates the selected line and then stores the calibration report
for the line.
