17 Commissioning Ethernet switch (modular)
FN2012-A1
Ethernet switch (modular) FN2012 is not compatible with Ethernet switch (MM)
FN2008 and so may only be used in panels ≥MP6.

17.1 Standalone FN2012-A1
This description is for a standalone FN2012-A1 that is not connected to the station.
You will find information on mounting and installing the FN2012
A6V10210390. See chapter 'Applicable documents'.
A1 has no IP address in the factory setting.
Commissioning the standalone FN2012-A1

1. Use the rotary switch to define a pre-configured IP address. Link [➙ 90]
2. Put the web interface into operation. Link [➙ 93]
3. Change the IP address of the FN2012-A1 in accordance with your network
requirements. Link [➙ 94]
4. Configure the redundancy role of the FN2012-A1. Link [➙ 95]
5. Deactivate any local ports on the FN2012-A1 that are not being used in
accordance with your safety requirements. Link [➙ 95]
6. Configure fault monitoring for local ports. Link [➙ 96]
17.1.1 Specifying a pre-configured IP address
You must assign a pre-configured IP address to a standalone FN2012-A1 as part
of its commissioning process.
1. Use the rotary switch on the FN2012-A1 to select an IP address in accordance
with the table further below.
2. Wait 10 s or reset the FN2012-A1 using the RESET button in order to apply the
set IP address.
If the rotary switch of the FN2012
A1 is in position 'E', the local ports are not
available. You cannot perform a firmware update or call up a web interface for the
FN2012-A1 when the switch is in position 'E'.
