22.2.4 FW update for main CPU and additional CPUs
The procedure for updating the main CPU and additional CPUs depends on
whether the PMI & mainboard FCM2004 or FCM2027 is used in the 'Station'. The
procedures are described in the following chapters:

22.2.4.1 PMI & mainboard FCM2004
w You are familiar with the information in chapter 'Preparation and security
[➙ 113]'.
1. Select 'Update' > 'FW update main and additional CPUs' from the menu bar.
2. If the 'Password check' window opens, enter the password '12345678' and click
on 'OK'.
3. NOTICE! Data loss. Save the configuration data before updating the firmware.
– Saving the configuration data also backs up specific system data which is
only available on the 'Station'. This includes modified customer texts, time
stamps of recent alarms, or persistent commands.

4. Select the desired firmware version.
5. The firmware update can be started in two ways:
– Start the firmware update in Cerberus-Engineering-Tool.
– or
– Start the firmware update at the ↑ 'Station'. The procedure is described in
the following section.
