Updating the firmware in the web interface
w The FN2012-A1 has a valid IP address within the sub-net.
w The PC has access to the FN2012-A1 / is located within the same sub-net as
the FN2012-A1.
w The FN2012-A1 is connected to a sub-net containing at least one station.
w The web interface has been commissioned and the initial password changed.

w Cerberus-Engineering-Tool is switched on.
w 'Cerberus-Engineering-Tool' is connected to the sub-net.
w The FN2012-A1 is not in repeater mode (rotary switch position 'E').
1. Start the firmware update in Cerberus-Engineering-Tool:
– Select the 'Update' > 'FW update main CPU' menu item.
– Select the required firmware version in the 'Update package:' field.
– Select 'Initiate update at station'.
2. Open the web interface of the FN2012-A1.
3. Select the 'FW update' tab.
4. Enter the address of 'Cerberus-Engineering-Tool'. You will find
recommendations for standard configurations in the table 'Recommended
standard IP addresses for tool' below.
5. Click on 'Start FW update'.
a The FN2012-A1 connects to 'Cerberus-Engineering-Tool'.
a The firmware of the FN2012-A1 is updated.
a The FAULT LED on the FN2012-A1 shows the status of the firmware update.
